Weddings at Healds Hall

This venue is fabulous. We recently got married here and from early planning stages right through to the day we were given loads of support and valuable advice regarding our day. The food in the restaurant is to die for! The rooms are very comfortable and modern while retaining the feel of the architecture and age of the building. Matt and his team could not have done anything more for us our entire stay and day. He even put my shoes on for me, before the ceremony! We would highly recommend Healds Hall for an event, wedding or any kind of stay. You will be made vey welcome and the staff will give you service second to none.

We had our beautiful wedding here last Saturday (31.08.24) and we were just blown away with how amazing our day was ✨ ❤️ All the staff at Healds Hall made our day just perfect, especially Matt who went above & beyond. Such a beautiful venue, everyone commented on how amazing the food was and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff on the day. Hands down THE BEST DAY EVER!! Wish we could do it all again!!

Richard and I got married at Healds Hall on the 14.9.24. From start to finish the whole day was amazing .Matthew and the staff were so helpful and friendly , the room was beautiful for the ceremony and the evening party. The food was out of this world. Everyone commented on how brilliant the day was and how relaxed the atmosphere was. We would recommend Healds Hall to anyone that is thinking of getting married.

Healds Hall really was the perfect place for our wedding and it didn’t disappoint. From our very first meeting Matt and the team did everything they could do help and make the day be as perfect as it was.
The team did everything they could throughout the day to help and took away all pressures, making sure we were happy with everything before the guests entered each room. Thanks so much to Shirley who made our vision come to life! The food was amazing and all of the guests were so happy with the food on offer – beef dinner was perfect! The turnaround between the breakfast and evening was extremely smooth ready for the evening party to start!

Healds Hall was the perfect venue for our wedding. Matt and the team pulled out all the stops for our big day to make our vision a reality.

We asked for an outdoor ceremony which is something Healds Hall have never been able to do before, however this time around they made it happen! We had a lovely ceremony in the back garden of the property, and it was set up exactly the way we envisioned it. Matt and his team then did a quick turnaround to move the chairs inside to set up for the wedding breakfast.

The wedding breakfast was brilliant, we heard nothing but compliments about the food from all our guests, we would highly recommend the roast beef dinner!

After the wedding breakfast the HH team again we’re quick to turnaround the room ready for the night guests to arrive and the party to really start!

Throughout the day Matt continually checked in with me and my new husband to make sure we we’re happy, he showed us each set up before allowing the guests to go through. He always had a smile on his face there was never any stress as far as we could see!

We had several third parties booked for our wedding, a violinist, baker for the cake, live singer in the evening, decorating & a photo booth, matt communicated with each party to ensure they knew where to be and at what time to make sure everything went to the schedule. There was a small delay getting our cake cut and first dance at 8pm, but that is because our guests we’re thirsty and ready for a drink so to make sure everyone was happy he even jumped behind the bar to support his team.

We had the perfect day, we would highly recommend Healds Hall to anyone who is looking to book their wedding venue, it has recently been renovated to a really high standard with some quirky features which we loved. All our guests said how beautiful the venue is and how friendly and helpful the staff we’re.

We held our Wedding Ceremony, Reception and Evening Reception at this hotel last week and it could not have been a better choice. The attention to detail provided by Matt and the whole Healds Hall team excelled our expectations and then some! Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. We had a wonderful day, the food was excellent, our room (111) was big, nice and light which is good for bridal makeup and hair doing. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Healds Hall Hotel for any occasion it’s a gem of a place.

We had our wedding reception at Healds Hall and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Matthew and the rest of the team were brilliant, taking care of every little detail. The room for the reception looked stunning and the layout helped create a fantastic, cozy atmosphere for our family & friends. As always at Healds Hall, the food was amazing, and we received lots of comments from guests that it was some of the best food they’d ever had at a wedding, the roast beef in particular was fantastic, so tender. All in all we couldn’t have asked for a better venue and just want to say thank you to all the staff for helping make our special day so perfect!

We recently got married at Healds Hall Hotel. The whole day was absolutely PERFECT.
Matt the events manager and Andrew the chef went above and beyond to meet our requirements. Healds Hall is much better venue than these over priced well known wedding venues throughout Yorkshire.
The food was incredible and by far one of the best restaurants outside of Leeds city centre. All guests commented on how good the food was throughout the day. They easily accommodated for 1 vegetarian and 1 child. The wedding package we booked included chip and bacon butties for the evening meal, something me and my husband were not keen on. We asked if they would be able to do pizzas instead…without hesitation Andrew organised for a pizza oven to be set up in the gardens of the hotel and allowed us to create or own evening menu.
The quality of the food and service of all staff members is the reason we booked the biggest day of our life to be held here.
Matt was on hand for every step of the planning process and his communication was exceptional. Nothing was ever too much and I felt comfortable asking the silliest questions. Matt was a real support for me on the day too I was so nervous but Matt kept me calm and grounded – a real personal touch. Again not something you may receive at other venues. Matt is very passionate about his role and always supported our requests. His overall input was invaluable.
If you are getting married, have a family event coming up or simply just want good service and a nice meal at the right price, I would strongly recommend Healds Hall Hotel.

Wow, what can we say… like all couples we had our pre wedding nerves.

We knew the hotel was lovely, the surroundings were great for photos and the hotel staff were fantastic. We even knew the food was amazing but all our expectations were not only met but totally excelled.

On the day our nerves were eased with the expert organisation from our wedding coordinator Matthew, his attention to detail was wonderful, he even noticed when the wife was hot and flustered and appeared as if from nowhere with a fan to cool her down and a friendly reassuring smile.

Walking around these grounds you definitely get the feeling of an old traditional English Heritage estate, but been a family owned hotel it comes with a real warm personal touch.

We got married here in April and it was simply a perfect day from start to finish. This place is a hidden gem.

The day flowed perfectly; I got ready in the bridal suite with my bridesmaids and mum. Matt arranged for freshly made croissants and tea/coffee to be brought up to the room. The bridal suite is huge, there was me, my mum, 4 bridesmaids, a hairdresser and a make up artist in there and we didn’t feel cramped at all.

There is a lovely old staircase for photos which I loved.

The turnaround between the ceremony and the wedding breakfast was seamless.

An extra special mention for the food. The canapes and meal were stunning, I’ve lost count of how many people raved about the food on the day and since the wedding. I also had so many people say to me how good the bar prices were (priorities! ha).

Matt acted as master of ceremony and did a fantastic job, he couldn’t do enough for us. We didn’t want for anything all day, so attentive and what a lovely guy. He was always friendly and on hand leading up to the wedding whenever we needed anything too. All the staff in fact, were just amazing.

The grounds are gorgeous as well, we got some amazing photos.

We have been back since for Sunday lunch and were met with the same high standards.

I literally cannot big this place up enough. We will definitely be coming back in the future to the amazing restaurant.

My wife and I, having decided to get married and hold our wedding ceremony at Healds Hall, could not have chosen a better venue. We started our visit on a Friday night, holding a dinner party for our immediate family of 19 with the wedding ceremony and reception being held the following day.
I cannot say how much we and all our guests enjoyed ourselves with the food and ambience of the venue exceeding our expectations. We were most impressed with the organisation of the weekend by Matthew, ably aided by Ronan, who made everything move extremely smoothly.
We would highly recommend Healds Hall to anyone wishing to share the hospitality which we enjoyed.

Where do I beginning. I recently got married at this amazing venue. From the moment we met Matt I knew there was no other place I would want to get married. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was perfect, we were always informed and worked well together to make our day perfect.
The place is ideal for a wedding as you have the full use of the hotel, the rooms are lovely and the staff was very helpful. We had a rooms booked for family and friends and they too was impressed with the hotel.
Great food, we had so many amazing comments from our guests of how much they enjoyed the food.

My self and my partner got married here on the 21-6-19 . The place its self is a real gem lovely inside and out. Matthew the wedding coordinator never stopped all day nothing was too much for him and all the lovely staff at the hotel. The wedding ran like clockwork. From ceremony to wedding breakfast then evening doo the transition from each part was brilliant nobody was bored and it gave people time to mingle. The food was first class absolutely amazing. The rooms were lovely. All in all was a wonderful day/evening

My new husband and I got married at Healds Hall in January and it was the most incredible day of our lives from start to finish. Healds Hall was the perfect choice: the rooms looked absolutely beautiful set up for ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening party. The food was delicious (canapés and three course meal, and then breakfast with our guests the following day), and so many of our guests commented on the friendly and helpful staff. The bedrooms are spacious and modern and the perfect place to get ready in and then disappear to when the party is over! Matthew couldn’t do enough for us and Ronan was also so accommodating – nothing seemed too much trouble. We would highly recommend HH as the ideal wedding venue.
